LARP Cosplay

Yeah I know it's not exactly Cosplay because your not basing yourself on an existing character but on one you have invented, incidentally if you have no idea what LARP is it's Live Action Role Playing as in you go into the woods with hundreds if not thousands of other people and bash the crap out of each other with latex swords, of course you can develop your stories, join guilds and bargain with people, like a forum RP but in reality.

The last event this year in the UK is called The Gathering and is being held in Derbyshire on the 22nd of August until the 25th but in my case the 24th.

I am part of the Tarantula faction in a clan called Clan Kage, we are Heavily Oriental based and believe that honour takes place above everything else.

Anyway to the crux of the matter, I am going with a friend (MaJiC) and he is bringing a high def camera, so we'll get a few pictures of me and him as well as the clan so you can see how much we get into the sport of LARP

Well guys I'm back (Nooo!!).

And unfortunately

we didn't get any pictures of me but of MaJiC and a few more of the massive army we fought taken by a fellow clan member, so once there available I will post them.

The turnout for The Gathering [2008] was over 8000 participants!!

Well it was AGES ago that I started this thread and I finally got the images, not too good really

I was hoping to show you the 900 players versus The Tarantula Faction's 46 (including me).

The 900 man army ran away without even touching us, we called in about 700 reinforcements from our allies.

Josh Cole/MaJiC or Zetsume Sessato looks quite bewildered here.

Joe Forth (left) is a Kitsune (Fox-Kin) but you can't see his tails and Ryan or Sir William Faust III (Right)

Peter Duke or Matsumo [We call him Fat-sumo OOC

] looks like a freakin ringwraith but he's just a drow, he's allergic to the nut based black face paint so he wear a see through balaclava type item. He's scary as hell if you don't know he looks normal underneath.

NEXT EVENT APRIL 2009 THE GREAT ERIDYAN FARE (GEF)...Or something like that.
