Yes, you heard right. I am now able to offer you @animeyo.net e-mail addresses, that are compatible wth windows live mail, instant messengers, and anything else e-mail related.
There are a total of 500 accounts, after which we can request more (if we have enough members to warrant that)
So, how do you receive one of these e-mail addresses? Well, here are the requirements:
- Minimum of 50 posts
- Must have been a member for over a month
After you meet these requirements, you simply PM me, and I will set you up with an account. By default, all staff members can have the e-mail regardless of join date or post count, so all staff who wish to have an account please PM me with the password you would like.
As a note, any member that is inactive for more than 3 months will have their account deleted, and will have to request a new one once they become active again.
ANY MEMBERS FOUND USING THE E-MAIL FOR ILLEGAL PURPOSES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, HACKING, TRAFFICKING OF ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES OR PRODUCTS, PORNOGRAPHY, AND WAREZ WILL HAVE THEIR ACCOUNT TERMINATED.
EDIT: FURTHER INFORMATON FROM THIS POINT
Okay, updated something.
I received an e-mail asking why people should trust me with their passwords, and after that decided, that yeah, you guys should have your privacy.
Now, I know that many people will wish to use the same password for these accounts as they would with their yahoo, hotmail and forum passwords. Hence, I have enabled the account mailer. This is a special account where the details sent will create your account, however I still have to choose a yes or no. So, now you can safely use your passwords, you still need to have the minimum post and activity requirements.
Here is what you do.
Send an e-mail to account-creator[at]animeyo[dot]net
in the subject field, simply put "$username account creation" (you can do this with or without the quotes, it doesn't really matter. As long as the e-mail you send this message with is the one you used to register, It picks up on that.)
Now, what you do is you input the following into the body section of the e-mail.
$username:
$userpass:
$userpass:
Obviously, add what you want after those parts. For example, if I sent a request mine would look something like this:
$username:L
$userpass:mypassword
$userpass:mypassword
Now, thats linked to the admincp, so it uses those phrases and then uses the members search section to find that user, thus meaning one member can't try to create an e-mail with another members username.
Please bear in mind, if you send a request with the wrong username or password, I will have to delete it and you will have to send another e-mail, so please try to get it right first time around.
Now, all of you can safely and happily use your regular hotmail/yahoo etc passwords, and nobody, not even the admins will be able to read them.
I hope you now feel safe and comfortable about this.
On a side note, I will also be copying this post straight into the first post, just for the ease of a few members.
