I'm sure we've all got our share of sports injuries wither they be embarassing or just plane funny. So why not share?
One time as I was playing Tennis with my older brother, this was when I was just starting out about 3 years ago. So yeah, he goes easy on me for a while then for our last game he told me he was going to try some fast serves on me. Me being confident in my skills told him to bring it on. I wasn't prepared, the ball wen across the court so fast that I didn't see it, then it struck me RIGHT in the chin and knocked me down onto my butt. It hurt!
A while ago when I went snowboarding with my brothers at Blue Mountain Resort I was watching my brother's go onto the halfpipe as I was getting ready to go on it myself. But then i saw my brother attempt to go of the half pipe, but things didn't go as planned. He wen forward with a flip, landed head first into the know, and kneed himself in the chest. Everyone was so worried but he was actually okay. We had a good laugh about it after.
When I was in grade 8 it was time for us to have or gym time and decided to play hockey. Funny thing was that we decided to play with a real puck so you can already imagine where this is going. Well anyway I was covering the goalie from far away to try and steal the puck from my friend. My teacher warned us not to do any slap shots... but of course my friend decided to not listen. So right before he did a slap shot, I went right in his way, point blank, and took the shot right in the leg, right below my knee. I fell to the ground screaming in pain as I looked at the blood come out of my leg, it was soooo painful. But I forgave my friend... but I swore I'd get him back...
The last funny story I got to share for now is a baseball one. This was in grade 9. I was the catcher, we used regulation baseballs and alluminum bats. So my friend comes up to bat, and I must say he's pretty strong and can hit the ball pretty far. Well anyway he strikes on the first pitch, but then he hits the 2nd one. You know what he did next? He threw the baseball bat right at me and it hit me right in the stomach. Everyone stopped and gasped but I said I was okay. My friend had to sit out and take that as an 'Out'. So then he comes back on and hits it on his first try, I trusted him that he wouldn't throw the bat at me again and stayed pretty close. I shouldn't have trusted him as he threw it at me again and hit my knee. He went out again. And you know what? He went up again, this would prove to be his last time. I stood about 1 metre farther away this time and covered my face and stomach better while still trying to catch the ball. This was the worst as he hit the ball and threw the bat... harder than usual at me and hit me directly... in the groin. That was when both of us had to step out of the game. My friend told me it was an accident and I knew it was, he wasn't used to just DROPPING the bat on the ground. But I still forgave him...
Had to play touch football in 7th grade with like.. the whole freaking 7th and 8th grade. Supposed to be touch football, but somehow i got a blackeye.. Some big tall guy ran into me and his round head hit my face.. was no bueno.
